How to update HP Z6000 laptop processor?
|
Q:
I have a HP Z6000 laptop with a AMD Sempron3200+ processor. I already found that it is of 939 interface, which is the specification of desktop processor, but not laptop’s. So I want to update my laptop processor to a faster and more powerful grade. I’ve already disassembled the laptop (completely), everything seems quite OK, the motherboard is HP3085 with ATI Mobility Radeon Express 200 independent graphic card. And I’ve also refreshed the BIOS to the latest HP F.1C version. And my problem is: for my laptop, which fast processor is more proper? I’ve consulted HP, but they didn’t give me anything.
A:
1) Basically, you can update to Anthlon64 4000+ processor, but HP BIOS doesn’t support it, so it would be useless to update to the latest BIOS version and the Duo Core configuration doesn’t work anyhow.
