Arrow What to do if water enters laptop?

The first step: when water enters laptop, we should pull laptop power cable out of wall jack as fast as we could, and remove battery quickly. Disconnect the laptop with the power supply in the shortest time, letting it stay power- off state. Remember, never use usual shutdown method: startóTurn off-shut down computer, or directly press shutdown button.
The second step: pull out all device connection cables to the computer. Make a way to get the water entering laptop out. First estimate the direction where water enters, check out whether water is spilt onto the keyboard or flow from the table. Remember, donít knock keyboard right now, under this circumstance, the rubber tray under the key button plays a certain role in sealing keyboard. And after that, blot up the water on the surface with dry cloth and then wipe it; you should also get rid of the remained seeper in the keyboard. Try removing the keyboard and wipe the water at the back side, and then dry it in the shade (donít blow it with hot wind, otherwise, many tiny plastic components would easily get distortion when roasted, finally lead to worse result), meanwhile, youíd better to let the inside dry for a day, otherwise, it may get burnt when start up as the motherboard and internal parts are not dry enough.
