How do I set up a network between two computers(2)?
)· Internet: this method can be used to connect different computers around the world. The 2 computers can log on to the Internet using NetBIOS over TCP/IP (port 139) in order to connect and transfer. You can also use dial-up modem to log on Internet, however, expect to experience slower speed and connect drop.
)· Bluetooth: Bluetooth is a technical industry standard that facilitates communication between wireless devices such as mobile phones, PDAs (personal digital assistants) and handheld computers, and wireless enabled laptop or desktop computers and peripherals. A single Bluetooth-enabled wireless device is capable of making phone calls, synchronizing data with desktop computers, sending and receiving faxes, and printing documents. For example, an individual can use a Bluetooth connection to print a document from his PDA. Bluetooth devices use a microchip transceiver that operates on the 2.45GHz frequency and have a range of up to 10 meters (approximately 33 feet).
)· USB network bridge: USB host to host communication offers single cable solution for network communication, it is able to construct USB Network up to 17 PCs. Suitable for resources sharing such as Printers, CD-ROMs, Modems and Scanners. It is supported under TCP/IP, NetBEUI, IPX/SPX protocols and has a data transfer rate of up to 5MB/s.
)· Serial and parallel: these two are obsolete methods that aren’t been use commonly today.
